Our Koševsko Brdo
Jamat was formed in 1993, during the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
We are to soon mark its 11th anniversary.
Established
by only few individuals who genuinely believed in this idea,
our Jamat became a strong institution with moreover six hundred
active members whom we are very proud of.
Chairman
of the Jamat Board and imam in our Jamat is professor Sabrudin
Delalić. Members of the Jamat Board are as follows: Mr. Vekaz
Zaćiragić Vekaz, Mr.Sead Zubanović, Mr. Fevzija Beganović, professor
Šahin Kerla and Mr. Edin Alić. Mrs. Hajrija Čerkez and Mrs.
Rabija Golubić are also included in the work of the Jamat Board.
Our
Jamat covers area in which more that 7,000 Bosnian Muslims reside,
while of that number almost one third are displaced persons,
muhajirs.
Facility
that we currently occupy does not provide adequate conditions
for work and activities of our Jamat but we work on the ways
to resolve different problems that we face in the course of
our work.
